Lake Haven Cottage: Swim dock, Game Room and Boat

Bummer Negative: Unfortunately several issues made our stay disappointing. The biggest issue was that the swim dock did not have a ladder, even though the listing photos clearly showed one. This was one of the main reasons I chose this Airbnb, as we specifically wanted the kids to be able to swim from the dock, so it was frustrating to arrive and find it missing. Also, there were nails sticking up through the boards on the “swim deck”, making it very risky for kids to even walk out on it. Check-in was also problematic. Although check-in was listed for 4:00 p.m., the cleaning crew was still there after 5:00 p.m., forcing us to wait in the car until they were done. To make matters worse, there were no pillows when we finally got inside, requiring multiple phone calls with the cleaning staff while we were trying to enjoy our vacation. The pillows were not delivered until after 7:00 p.m. Additionally, one of the arcade game machines in the advertised game room was not working, the air conditioner leaked water onto the floor inside the cottage, one of the beds had a significant dip in the middle that made it very uncomfortable for two people to sleep on, and some of the outlets did not work. Overall, the cottage itself was clean and in a decent location, but the inaccurate listing details, delayed check-in, and multiple maintenance issues made the experience much less enjoyable than we had anticipated. Based on our experience, we would not choose to stay here again.

Tiny but mighty. Positive: At first we were worried that it would be too small when we first pulled in. But the space felt bigger than it looked. We were not on top of eachother eirher. It was very comfortable We loved the lake access. We didnt use the game room but it was nice to have available. It was very quiet also. We thoroughly enjoyed the lodging. They have pots and pans to do lite cooking silverware dishes all of those type of things. Negative: The only thing I woukd say that I didnt like would be that there were towels but if we were staying for more than 2 nights we wouldn't have had enough. But we also didnt contact the Host to ask for more so its just a if I had to say something bad this is it.

A true haven for a long roadtrip Positive: Comfortable, beautiful, cozy, well stocked

Pleasant and perfect for a long weekend. Positive: Location was good. The space was a good size. Comfortable for a short weekend. Negative: Towels still had price tags on them. If the main house is rented, it feels a little intrusive to access the dock, fire pit and game room. Also, there is no access to a laundry facility which would have been nice because we got soaked in the rain.

The cottage gave a feeling of hime. The owner had several little touches throughout the cottage that made it extra speci Positive: A beautiful location on Lake Hamilton. The colors and decor were really nice. Negative: I liked every thing. We enjoyed our stay
